What can you do with us?
Walk through our workshop and see the machines and tools, but also, for example, the wagon wheel rims made here with a four-leaf clover motif, heart and year. Also, for example, the plough, harrow, lamoen, small wooden pieces and stove.
During a guided tour we start our old Deutz stationary engine in our engine shed, so we can demonstrate the lathe, the band saw and the surface thicknessing machine.
From the workshop to the wash house with the stove pot and the belt-driven washing machine.
In our reception and exhibition space 'Holtloze' you can see, among other things, scale models. On a reading shelf, all kinds of books about wheelwright workshops. On a screen you can see, among other things, the story of the wheelwright and many photos of farm carts. We also tell the remarkable story of how an airplane was built in our workshop in 1932.
Please take a seat at the table. There is coffee and tea. There is also a toilet.
On every second Saturday in September, a special day with demonstrations and plenty of stories.
A tailor-made programme for primary school children, introducing them to the old craft.
Get in touch to discuss the options.
